The Starlight Symphony Orchestra encourages and inspires ambition through work and school with its next performances. “Academic Festival Overture,” by Johannes Brahms, and “Infernal Gallop,” by Jacques Offenbach highlight and acknowledge the various rolls work and school play in our lives. Dedication to school resonates as the 2016 Young Artist Solo Competition winners present their achievements with dynamic performances. Violinist Lillian Sunperforms the 3rd movement of the “Violin Concerto in E Minor, Op. 1,” by Julius Conus, and violinist Sophia Ayers performs the 1stmovement of “Symphonie Espagnole in D Minor, Op. 21,” by Edouard Lalo. Included in the program is a performance by the Dripping Springs Orchestra Club.
